Spreading Lies To Topple Government Unacceptable - Teng

GEORGE TOWN, July 20 (Bernama) -- Penang Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Teng Chang Yeow said spreading lies to topple the government is unacceptable.

"Any attempt to change the government via non-democratic means is considered a betrayal and against the people's mandate. Such action is unacceptable," he said.

Thai police reportedly said PetroSaudi International Ltd (PSI) former executive Xavier Andre Justo allegedly met several Malaysians to sell the company's classified information.

On June 24, Thai police arrested Justo for allegedly attempting to blackmail PSI, the Saudi Arabia based company linked to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

It was reported that Swiss national Justo had met Malaysian opposition leaders and a media owner, in Singapore, prior to his arrest in Thailand.

Teng said those who spread lies to topple the government should be dealt with severely because they challenged the law in this country.
