Party lauds Budget 2018 which includes provision for the Indians

PENANG MyPPP described the Budget 2018 as a fair budget for everyone.

Its chairman Datuk Dr J. Loga Bala Mohan, who is also deputy Federal Territory Minister, said that the budget ensured that everyone is looked after.

Speaking at the Penang MyPPP’s Deepavali open house at Taman Seri Bestari in Nibong Tebal recently, he said it was also a good budget for the Indian community as it covered some important aspects.

Also present at the open house were Penang Barisan Nasional chairman Teng Chang Yeow, Penang MCA chairman Datuk Tan Teik Cheng and Penang MCA organising secretary Dr Tan Chuan Hong.

Dr Loga Bala said he welcomed the announcement by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on the 7% intake of Indians into public universities and the civil service.

Teng said the budget also brought goodies to states under the Opposition rule such as Penang.

“This budget will set aside Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng’s accusation that the Federal Government does not provide allocations for Penang,” he said.

He said the allocation for the expansion of the Penang Airport and additional wards for the Penang Hospital would benefit Penangites.
