Gerakan National Youth Chairman, Dato’ Mah Siew Keong regret the statement by YB Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir calling on the Prime Minister to step down.

1. Mukhriz as part of Barisan Nasional Youth should not be against the spirit of Barisan Nasional and should put aside the personal and family sentiment in order to protect the institution of Barisan Nasional.

2. The action taken by Mukhriz will hurt Barisan Nasional.

3. As a Member of Parliament of Barisan Nasional who has been given mandate to stand in the general election, Mukhriz should grateful and always be together with the team at this difficult time.

4. The effort to bring back the confidence of rakyat to Barisan Nasional and restrengthening of Barisan Nasional should be placed as the utmost priorities by all members of BN component parties.
