The opposition, as usual, still has not got its act together. PAS’s Nik Aziz says that they will work with the DAP, but the latter has spurned his overtures, saying that the DAP will not accept an Islamic State. Then we have Keadilan in the middle, trying in vain to reconcile the two. On top of that, Keadilan itself seems to be having a problem, with the resignation of one of its leaders. If basic differences amongst themselves cannot be sorted out, how are they going to handle a general election? This is quite unlike the Barisan Nasional that has proven time and again to be a workable coalition. More importantly, it delivers the goods. Small wonder then that the opposition, in the face of an embarrassing trouncing, chose to avoid Batu Talam.
