PENANG, Nov 12 (Bernama) -- The Penang government is focusing on efforts to explain development projects being carried out in the state to the people, Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon said.
He said the move was necessary to enable them to understand the benefits to be derived from such projects.
"We've been busy implementing development projects and solving problems faced by the people that we don't have much time to explain to them what's going on," he told reporters after opening a symposium on Chinese dietary culture here today.
He said the Barisan Nasional government's efforts to improve the livelihoods of the people were an ongoing process and not just when an election was around the corner.
Koh was asked on the state government's preparations for the coming general election.
"We're always prepared and ready to face the election and when the time comes, we'll work hard to ensure that we're able to repeat our victory," he added.
