Gerakan criticizes PKR on constant flip-flop Cheah Soon Hai: PH Consensus is dead and flip-flop is order of the day for the Opposition

Gerakan Deputy President, Dato’ Dr Cheah Soon Hai criticizes PKR’s Nurul Izzah for her comments on saying that it is not essential to name a PM candidate or a designated leader in the face of the upcoming general election. He said that such actions demonstrated the constant flip-flop within PKR and also Pakatan Harapan as well.

“Since the beginning of Pakatan Harapan and the now defunct Pakatan Rakyat, there has been an understanding that Anwar Ibrahim is their PM candidate. This is especially prevalent in the recently concluded PKR Congress where delegates and leaders were holding placard stating Anwar as the 7th Prime Minister.”

He questioned was the reversal of such decision due to the entrance of Bersatu and Tun Dr Mahathir’s comment on ready to assume the PM mantle once more as a form of submission to the fledging party?

“Previously the members of Pakatan Harapan signed an agreement called the Pakatan Harapan Agreement which is a binding document and one of the main issues is the collective decision by all parties. The differing statement between PPBM and PKR leaders proved that the agreement is nothing more than a piece of paper.”

“The Opposition has backtrack and break many of their promises and it has become more apparent ever since the entry of PPBM with many of its leaders carrying past baggage. I called for the people to see clearly such deceiving tactics are only used for their own interest.”
