Gerakan will work with other Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties to strengthen the coalition in a bid to woo back their supporters.
Its secretary-general Datuk Seri Chia Kwang Chye said the party was firm in its stand to initiate reforms for BN from within.
"We will not abandon BN now or in the future. Instead, we will contribute towards making the coalition a better one.
"It is time for us to get down to serious business and move on with our struggle ... the Mar 8 general election is way behind us," he said when contacted.
On Saturday, Gua Musang Member of Parliament Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah revealed that a BN component party would leave the coalition before the end of the month.
The former finance minister however did not name the party.
