The Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang (PBAPP) and the Penang Skills Development Corporation (PSDC) will jointly establish an academy to focus on water supply technologies.

Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon said the academy, known as the Penang Water Services Academy (PWSA) would run programmes for all water industry workers and professionals as well as school leavers.

Koh said PWSA would be the first academy in the country to focus on water supply technologies.

The state, according to Koh, was willing to share its knowledge, experience and expertise with water supply workers and professionals from other states. Koh was speaking to reporters at the logo launching ceremony yesterday.
