Procedures

1.0 All the Photostat documents submitted must be certified true by the chairman of the Branch or Division or State and the Principal of the school concerned.

1.1 Each applicant must submit one (1) set of the duly completed form with the relevant documents to the National Headquarters via respective State Office.

• A copy of applicant’s identity card (both sides);
• A copy of applicant’s birth certificate;
• A copy of party member’s membership card;
• A recent passport sized photo; and
• A copy of the SPM/STPM or UEC Senior Middle Level examination result CERTIFIED TRUE BY THE PRINCIPAL.

1.2 The ALEA Committee has the absolute right to reject any incomplete/ non-compliant application without giving any reason and the decision made by the Committee is final and conclusive.

1.3 All materials submitted become the property of the Party and may be used by the Party its purposes. No entry materials will be returned.

1.4 Application forms can be downloaded from here or obtained from the respective State Office.

1.5 Completed application forms must be returned to the respective State Office on/before 15 April 2008. Late applications wil not be considered.

2.0 TERMS & CONDITIONS

2.1 The award is open to Party members’ children and he/she must hold the Malaysian citizenship.

2.2 The member must have at least two (2) years of membership in the Party.

2.3 The member must not have subscription in arrear for more than 3 years consecutively. Any members with arrears of more than 3 years will be disqualified from applying.

2.4 Any arrears of less than 3 years must be paid up before or at the time of application.

2.5 Application submitted must be based on the current year examination results.

2.6 Application should apply through the respective State Office.

2.7 The award is only applicable to one of the following examinations below;

• Minimum of 8 distinctions in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) ;
• Minimum of 8 distinctions in the Malaysian Independent Chinese Secondary School Unified Examination Certificate (Senior Middle Level) OR ;
• Minimum of 4 distinctions in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM).

3.0 AWARDEES RESPONSIBILITIES

As a means of achieving and dissemination of the award, awardees must be present themselves at the awarding ceremony.

The awardees parent can only accept the award on behalf of their children if their children are unable to attend the awarding ceremony with the approval of the Chairman of the ALEA.

Members attending the awarding ceremony are required to be in Party uniform. (white shirt/blouse with black pant/skirt)
